No. Kincaid’s has been family-owned and operated since 1946. Today our five locations are owned by the Gentry family that have owned Kincaid’s since 1967.

Yes! Kincaid’s gift cards are available for purchase at our locations.

We proudly offer a 20% discount to active military, police officers, and firefighters (for the individual only; family and friends not included).

We do not take reservations. However, we’re happy to help accommodate large parties when possible. Please call your preferred location for more details.

Yes, we do. Each private event request is reviewed individually. Please contact the location you’re interested in for availability and details.

Yes! Kincaid’s provides catering for events of all sizes. While we do not cook on-site, we offer convenient takeout and delivery catering options. View catering options.

Yes. Our community support is primarily focused on local children’s education, though we consider other local requests as well. Submit a donation or fundraiser request.

Yes! We offer kid’s meals for ages 12 and under that include french fries and a kid’s drink.
Highchairs are available and all locations are equipped with changing stations in the restrooms.

Only service animals are permitted inside our restaurants. Pets are not allowed.

Our History

Kincaid’s first opened on September 5, 1946, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Over the years, Kincaid’s has received numerous local, state, and national awards, including many “Best Burger” honors. We’ve also been featured in publications and books celebrating America’s best hamburgers.

At Charles Kincaid’s Grocery & Market, meat market manager O.R. Gentry began cooking hamburgers for customers to enjoy while they shopped. Over time, those burgers became so popular they outsold the groceries—leading to the Kincaid’s we know today.

They are a nod to our roots. As Kincaid’s evolved from a grocery store into a hamburger restaurant, the shelves remained as part of our history. Today, they also serve as standing counters for guests. The groceries are not for sale.

They include photos of customers, historical moments, and press coverage—along with many of the awards Kincaid’s has earned over the years.

The balloons are not just for show. When Kincaid’s was a grocery store, it was popular for food companies to make blow up character balloons that could be hung in grocery stores to advertise their products.
Our Food

We use in-house ground, never-frozen, 100% Black Angus American beef for all our hamburgers.

Our cheeseburgers and fries are the most ordered items. Besides our burgers, the most positively reviewed item is our homemade onion rings.
